The Road to Second Semester...

I can't believe it's 2015! It's crazy how my last semester of High School started today! These past four years have just flown by. I remember being in elementary school and thinking how many thoudands of years it was going to take to be at this spot. I still don't even feel like a High School Senior. It's so crazy! High school, for me, has been filled with many ups and downs. As much as I want to go back and re-live parts of my high school days, I can't wait to move forward and get on with the future.

Everyone says that their hardest year was probably their Junior year, but not for me. My most crazy and caotic year was my Sophomore year. I had more bad teachers than any other year and It was absolutely the worst. A teacher even made me so upset that I was sitting at my desk crying while everyone else was doing work. Also that year, my two grandpa's passed away within 4 months of each other. I was very close with them and my heart broke into a million pieces. It still hurts to this day, and can't help but cry my eyes out every once in a while. Even though I had a few more downs than ups, I am still very happy with my High School experience. My friends were also a huge part of keeping me smiling and laughing through the rough times. I honestly don't know what I'd do without them.

For the rest of this school year, I am looking forward to hanging out with my friends more, and spending as much time with them as possible. We are all leaving San Ramon for college, some of them out of California, and I want to spend as much time as I can with them. I am also excited to begin to prepare for college. I have fully accepted to Chico State, and I can't wait to begin my college journey. Change is hard for me, and I think that's what I am most worried about. For the rest of this semester, I plan to have fun, not stress, and spend as much time with my friends and my family as possible.

Some SMART goals are; Graduating from High School. I plan to graduate on June 12th and walk down that carpet with a diploma in hand. Another goal of mine is to audition for the choirs at Chico by September 1st. My last goal is to go with all of my friends on a Senior trip by August 31. It doesn't even have to be a big trip. Just something fun with all my friends. I am so proud of myself for making it this far and I can't wait to see what the years ahead hold for me. The road isn't ending because my high school days are coming to a close. As I enter this new chapter in my life, the road is just now beginning.
